Registration is open for the 2026 Nature-Based Solutions for Coastal Resilience Conference!

We’re excited to announce that registration is officially open for the 2026 Nature-Based Solutions for Coastal Resilience Conference! This five-day gathering brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, community leaders, students, and innovators working to build stronger, more climate-resilient coastal communities. This conference is the perfect opportunity to:

  • Meet 120+ professionals and changemakers from across Canada and North America working in coastal adaptation, restoration, engineering, policy, and community engagement.

  • Explore how nature-based solutions are being designed, monitored, and implemented through presentations, case studies, and collaborative discussions.

  • Experience solutions in action on our field trips, which will take you directly to Nova Scotia coastal sites.

Join us in sharing knowledge across sectors and shaping the future of coastal resilience. We can’t wait to welcome you to Halifax in June 2026!

Green Shores Case Studies are now live!

Our two recent case studies were created to detail the implementation of two projects within the Kespukwitk/Southwest Nova Scotia Priority Place, and how the Green Shores for Homes program was applied to conserve and restore Species at Risk habitat.

In 2023, Credit 2.1 was added to incentivize homeowners to steward Species at Risk (SAR) habitat and avoid impacting them with shoreline projects. To test the effectiveness of this new credit, we implemented two projects on private properties containing SAR habitat.
