Selena Carriere
Coastal Wetland Research Technician
Selena feels very lucky to have grown up on the beautiful East Coast and is very passionate about building climate-resilient communities and ecosystems, recognizing that coastal communities around her and around the world are highly at-risk to the increasing effects of climate change.
Selena spent the past few years completing a BSc in Geography at Saint Mary’s University. During this time, her research interests centered on coastal and cryospheric systems and processes. Now, as a Coastal Wetland Research Technician for TCA, Selena is responsible for collecting field data, overseeing sedimentological analysis in the In_Coast Lab, and leading post-construction monitoring of living shorelines and constructed wetland sites.
In her spare time, Selena loves playing soccer, camping, hiking, and paddleboarding.
