Logan Deveau

Masters student

Logan is pursuing his MA in Geography at Saint Mary’s University under the supervision of Dr. Danika van Proosdij in the Department of Geography and Dr. Jonathan Fowler in the Department of Anthropology. Throughout his undergrad, he focused on the history and archaeology of the Atlantic provinces, with a particular interest in early French and Acadian settlement in the region, writing his honours thesis on the ceramic artifacts from Fort Saint-Marie-de-Grace in LaHave, Nova Scotia.

Logan’s Masters research focuses on using remote sensing to map a former Acadian village site along the St. Croix River, as well as exploring the impacts that historical human settlement has had on the river.
