Biology, Saint Mary’s University, Supervised by Dr. Jeremy Lundholm

I am a pollinator and plant community ecologist interested in pollinator dynamics in agroecosystems. I joined Dr. Jeremy Lundholm’s E.P.I.C. Lab as a research assistant after my first year of study at Saint Mary's, and have contributed to a number of projects surrounding community ecology and ecosystem service (ES) provisioning on green roofs, coastal barrens, and tidal saltmarshes. I continued in the lab for my Honour's research on pollinators in the Bay of Fundy Dykelands. This project is part of NSERC ResNet Landscape 1 - a network charged with taking account of a multitude of ES provided in this landscape, not least of which pollination services. My project has personal importance, as it will help stakeholders make key decisions in the community in which I grew up in the Annapolis Valley. In September 2021 I will start at MSc of Plant Science at UBC with Dr. Risa Sargent, continuing my work with plant-pollinator systems.
