The Green Shores for Local Government is a local government group that helps government officials and staff build capacity for shoreline planning and protection through the Green Shores program.

TransCoastal Adaptations also offers facilitation and technical support to local governments in Nova Scotia to assist with the implementation of Green Shores (Green Shores for Homes and Green Shores for Shoreline Development) in their community. If you would like to inquire about how TCA can help bring Green Shores to your community, please contact our Education & Outreach Coordinator Kelly Umlah at kelly.umlah@smu.ca.

Membership in TransCoastal Adaptation’s Green Shores Local Government Working Group will connect your community with forward-thinking and committed local governments around Nova Scotia. As one of our local government members, you can engage with like-minded communities and collectively take action to protect Nova Scotia’s shorelines.
