Dr. H.M. Tuihedur Rahman

Post Doctoral Fellow, Saint Mary’s University/ Dalhousie University

I am an environmental social scientist investigating how to undertake sustainable adaptation in highly vulnerable social-ecological systems. As a Post-Doctoral researcher in the Making Room for Movement project, I aim to better understand how to overcome the barriers of implementing nature-based coastal adaptation (NbCA) in Nova Scotia and beyond. Using a multidisciplinary research approach, I am also working to develop a policy framework to help guide the implementation of NbCA across Canadian coasts. Prior to joining this project, I was a PhD student in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences, McGill University, Montreal.
